Jack primarily receives information in three ways. He is clairvoyant. This means he can see things in a way that mimics conventional sight or by focusing on his "minds eye". He explains his psychic sight this way, "Sometimes what I see is in my head like mental pictures but quite often information appears out side of me as objective phenomena, in tiny windows or like movies superimposed over the physical world in front of my eyes."
Jack is also clairaudient, meaning he can hear information and clairsentient meaning he can feel and interpret nonverbal energy such as, "phantom sensations" or feelings into verifiable facts. Typically all three of Jack's primary extra sensory perceptions work in harmony providing a tapestry of information that can create an experience for Jack of feeling actually "present" else where as he translates informational energy and communicates it to you as fact.
